My name is Pam Schelfhout (Mrs. "S"). This is my seventh year teaching 3-year old preschool at St. Patrick School. I am married and I have 7 children. My husband and I were fortunate enough to care for my nephew Jason and niece Jordyn. They both graduated from Aquinas High School. Gabe is a sophomore and Abby is a freshmen at Aquinas High School, Isaac is a 7th grader at Aquinas Middle, Lucas is a 4th grader at Blessed Sacrament and Izzy is a first grader at Cathedral Elementary. We are very busy with sharing the love of sports. Our family hobbies include camping, biking, watching college basketball( March Madness), and the Brewers! ! I Love arts and crafts, baseball, basketball, and volleyball.
Play is a big part of our day. I feel it is the most important part of the learning process in preschool. A child will be able to construct the knowledge to learn how to problem solve, to create, process emotions, discover, challenge themselves, laugh, learn to work together, learn to lead, express themselves, and have fun through PLAY. Physically their fine motor and gross motor skills will be practiced and developed. It is not "just play", but skills for life!
