Position Summary:
The Coordinator of Discipleship witnesses the joy of the Gospel message by leading the stakeholders of Aquinas Catholic Schools into a deep relationship with Jesus Christ. This evangelization takes place through the coordinator’s collaboration with the Chaplain in meeting the schools’ pastoral needs, developing positive relationships with students, families, faculty and staff, and working to strengthen the practice of the Catholic faith. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is energized by the challenge of building new ministries. In particular, the three areas of ministry that the department is looking to expand into are (1) developing a discipleship ministry, by recruiting, training, and discipling mentors from the school and deanery community to lead small-groups of students according to the Serva Fidem* model, (2) offering a Cursillo** or similar retreat opportunities for our faculty, staff, and parents. (3) implementing and supporting a Catholic athletes’ program for our coaches and athletic teams.
How to Apply:
If you think God may be calling you to be the Coordinator of Discipleship at Aquinas, please send a cover letter or e-mail and recent resume to Aquinas Chaplains, Father Daniel Sedlacek (fr.sedlacek@aquinasschools.org) and Father Timothy Reither (fr.reither@aquinasschools.org)
