I’m originally from Texas, growing up only miles away from the border of Mexico. I was raised learning Spanish as a second language at a very young age. I have been married to my husband Steve, for 30 years and our prior military life moved our family to many locations. We are now settled in the area and call Wisconsin our home. We have four children and two amazing grandchildren, with a third on the way. Aside from Spanish, I enjoy spending time with family and especially enjoy jewelry making and travel.
My goal is to demonstrate to students how enjoyable and beneficial it can be to learn Spanish. Classes are fun and interesting with games, participation and lots of cultural learning.
I teach both the 7th and 8th grade Spanish classes. The focus is an introduction to language, targeting the basics of conversation, verbs and written sentences. The 8th grade year is a continuation with the possibility of entering Spanish 2 in High School.
