Ever since I was in second grade I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I graduated from Viterbo University and got my first teaching job at ACS. It was my dream to work in a Catholic School and I couldn't imagine teaching anywhere else. I recently graduated with my masters in education and went on to get my reading license and reading specialist license. Teaching reading in the classroom is my passion and I love spreading that love to all my students. I am married to my husband Kyle and we recently welcomed a baby girl into our family. I love being a mom. I also enjoy learning new things, being out in nature, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
My classroom strives on a positive learning environment. We focus on building a classroom community that is safe, where students aren't afraid to make mistakes, and where learning is fun and creative. We focus on Social Emotional Learning to help build communication skills, positive mindsets, and an inclusive atmosphere. I strive to make learning fun and getting to know each student individually in order to best meet their needs. I have a classroom website that is located at : https://sites.google.com/view/sauter/home This website will guide you in what students are learning, important information, and links to subject area content.
