I grew up in Northern California in a town called Chico (Home of Green Bay Packer's QB Aaron Rodgers!) I received my B.S in Cellular Molecular Biology in 2014. In 2015 I attended the Police Academy where I worked as a Sheriff's Deputy primarily in the Jail system at the Butte County Sheriffs Office. In 2018 my husband and I moved to Lacrosse to be closer to my mother who grew up in the area. We both decided to make the switch from Law Enforcement into teaching and received our teaching credentials from Viterbo. We spent a year overseas living in the Middle East and got to see many parts of the world including Egypt on Christmas Day! When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, playing guitar, video games and spending a lot of time outdoors camping and fishing. I have had many unique pets including my seven year old tortoise named Ray who is very mischievous with a big personality!

MY CLASSROOM

I believe all students have a unique learning style, I try to foster those learning styles in my classroom by taking a hands on project based approach. We must "do" science in order to understand science! I hope to inspire students to think outside the box and to question and be curious about the world around them. My classroom centers on student responsibility for their classwork and their grades and students are held to high standards that I know they are capable of achieving if they can push themselves the extra mile!

OTHER INFO

I received my teaching credential in 2018 where I had the pleasure of student teaching at Lincoln Middle School and La Crescent High School. My first official year of teaching was taught overseas in the Middle East in a small country next to Saudi Arabia called Bahrain. Following my time in Bahrain, I was hired as the 5th and 6th grade science teacher at Blessed Sacrament.
