Hola/Bonjour! My Love for languages began when I started studying Spanish in middle school. I continued studying Spanish throughout high school and college. I decided to study abroad one semester in Seville, Spain my sophomore year of college. It was one of the best experiences of my life! After I Graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I started researching jobs in Spain and I found a job teaching English in Madrid. I spent a year there and then returned to Wisconsin to get my teaching certification. After I completed my post-baccalaureate at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, I ended up teaching Spanish in Milwaukee to first through fifth graders. Then I had the travel bug again. This time to an island in the Atlantic Ocean-Bermuda. I accepted a position at the middle school level teaching Spanish. It was in Bermuda where my language priorities changed a little-I met my French-speaking husband from Quebec there! His Family didn't speak English very well and I began studying French. After eleven years in Bermuda, we decided to move back to my home state of Wisconsin with our three children: Lauren(now 14), Matt (now 12), and Kate (now 10). I have been teaching Spanish and French at Blessed Sacrament for five years and I have been enjoying working with the wonderful students here. Outside of work, you will find me either at my son's hockey game or one of my daughters' volleyball games. Lauren and I also volunteer at the Coulee Humane Society on Sundays. We are dog lovers and have a big yellow lab, Colby. He has brought so much love into our home! We also enjoy traveling to Quebec in the summer to see family and on parle francais avec toute la famille!
Be a good listener and try your best!
