Teaching at a Catholic school has always been a calling of mine. I am so fortunate to be able to teach at Cathedral Elementary. I find great importance in a Christ-centered learning community. I grew up in a strong, faith-based household and attended Catholic school throughout the entirety of my childhood. Cathedral Elementary holds small class sizes that provide for more opportunities for enhanced learning and the sense of community. Teaching here allows for strong family collaboration and this is so important in a child’s success. Lastly, Cathedral carries out the mission of service. There is nothing more important and gratifying than to serve one another and God. This is so important to instill at a young age.
As a teacher, I will accomplish a variety of things in my classroom each year. Christ will be the center focus of everything we do each day. I will aim to have positive relationships with each child’s family. I want my children to feel safe and welcomed. I will strive to see academic growth in each child throughout the whole year, while finding ways for each child to enjoy learning. I will facilitate kindness, respect, and positive attitude. I want all of my children to believe in themselves and each other.
